Pomegranate Lemon Sugar Scrub

Pomegranate Lemon Sugar Scrub

Hey Everyone,

If you are looking for a nice refreshing body scrub you’ve got to try this Sugar Scrub! It’s super easy to make! Because this mixture is oily it is very hydrating. Why use a sugar scrub over a salt scrub? Because sugar is actually more hydrating to the skin than salt.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of Organic Unrefined Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of slightly melted/warmed Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 tsp. Lemon Essential Oil
  • 2-3 drops of Lemongrass Essential Oil
  • 1-3 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
  • A quarter worth of Pomegranate Seeds

DIRECTIONS:

Squeeze or squish the pomegranate seeds slightly. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.

HOW TO USE:

First do a small test spot on the skin to make sure there are no bad or allergic reactions. Apply to dry skin. This scrub actually makes for a great quick full body massage. If you have a friend or partner, have them scrub you down for 5-10 minutes with the mixture and slightly massage your back. Rinse with water afterwards and enjoy your hydrated silky smooth skin!

BENEFITS OF EACH INGREDIENT

Organic Sugar is very hydrating when applied to the skin, and does not strip your skin of natural oils, like some other body scrubs can. The sugar particles act as a gentle exfoliator to get rid of dead skin.

Coconut Oil is filled with saturated fats, which will penetrate deep into the skin and moisturizes it! The Vitamin E found in coconut oil can actually sooth eczema and treat bug bites. Coconut oil is also an antiviral and antifungal, so if you have athletes foot, rub coconut oil on your feet!

Pomegranate Seeds are loaded with vitamins K and C, copper, zinc, iron, and potassium. Again, this ingredient is known to hydrate the skin, combat inflammation like acne, prevent wrinkles, and stimulate collagen production.

Lemon Essential Oil is loaded with antioxidants, vitamin C and citric acid which are great acne fighters because they boost collagen reproduction. It can also reduce oiliness in skin because of its astringent properties which cause pores in the skin to shrink.

Lemongrass Essential Oil smells amazing and it has some mega healing properties! It can clean out your pores, strengthen skin tissue, and serves as a natural toner. This is due to its antiseptic and astringent properties. It leaves a natural glow on your skin when used.

Rosemary essential Oil is a natural preservative and will help keep this mixture fresh! It also has antiseptic along with antimicrobial characteristics that are beneficial when combating oily skin, acne, and dryness.

Hope you enjoy! Make sure to upload photos of your scrub to social media and tag #organicforeveryone & @makes3organics!

Take care,

Nikki
